The famous monument in London’s Trafalgar Square became part of a set of giant wickets, as the countdown until the ‘world’s greatest cricket celebration’ officially began. There were a number of high profile attendees including Minister for Sport Mims Davies, Sir Alastair Cook, James Anderson OBE, Graeme Swann, Nasser Hussain OBE, Isa Guha, Rebecca Adlington OBE and two-time ICC Cricket World Cup winner Clive Lloyd CBE.

Sunbaba’s newly designed and unique crowd control barrier fixing was in action for leading experiential agency Innovision in 2019. Delivering an event to mark 100 days to the official start of the Cricket World Cup, Innovision required 40 branded crowd control barriers to create the event space within Trafalgar Square.

The new fixing method utilised velcro loops placed along the bottom edge with the material being folded over the top. Velcro strips were then applied to the left and right sides of the barrier cover to ensure a perfect fit. Sunbaba produced the covers using its Vestaweave fabric and delivered two separate designs featuring the event’s branding which were placed respectively on the ‘front’ and ‘back’ of the covers.
