Sunbaba was called upon by Spirit Media to provide branding for the recent unveiling of Celtic Football Club’s new 2017/18 football strip on Thursday 4th May. It has special significance as it has been created by New Balance to mark the 50th anniversary of the team winning the 1967 European Cup against Inter Milan in Lisbon.

The unveiling ceremony was held at Celtic Park, home to the Scottish Premiership club. With a large mobile stage in situ for the players to model the new kit, Sunbaba provided a stage header, backdrop and banners, along with two front PA wings for the commemorative event.

The stage header, backdrop and two banners were produced using a PVC material suitable for front lighting. The header and backdrop were printed allowing 12mm for a keder weld to tension the header banner sides and bottom edges and turned with eyelets every 50cm and above the top pocket for secure fixing. Whilst the two drop banners’ top edge were turned with three eyelets, cut sides and a bottom edge pole pocket to take 50mm diameter tube with a 50mm weld below.

The two front PA wings were produced using Sunbaba’s DigiSound product, specifically for use on speakers. This was then finished leaving room for a 12mm keder on the top, plus one eyelet at each end in the keder weld to tension the PA wings. The sides then had turned edges with eyelets every 50cm whilst the bottom edge had a pole pocket to take 50mm diameter tube.

Commenting on the branding supplied, a representative of Spirit Media said: “The banners looked great and the quality and vibrancy of the printing really shone through.”
