Creamfields Music Festival
In August 2020, we supplied branding as part of a large sponsorship campaign at Creamfields festival. Our client was looking to dress three sides of a 13m viewing platform with an eye-catching wrap that would work as a key promotional asset throughout the event and through marketing materials further down the line.
The environmental impact of the project was a key concern, as is becoming the norm in event production across the board. PVC mesh has long been the industry standard for large building and structure wraps like this one and so this was a great opportunity to showcase our environmentally friendly alternative: eco-textile mesh.
At 220gsm, this hardy material offers a vibrant print outcome while being sourced entirely from recycled PET bottles. Anxiety over the quality and durability of the emerging eco substrates is still prevalent so we were excited to use this opportunity to put those fears to rest. We produced a print sample to ensure that the end-user was satisfied with the print before ordering and consulted with our installation partners on the most effective way of ensuring a clean and tight fit on site.
Aside from the environmental benefits, the physical and figurative flexibility that our eco-textile mesh offers is a major benefit for projects like this. Ease of installation is often impacted by more rigid substrates which don’t allow for any unforeseen variation in structure dimensions.
Feedback was very positive from the sponsor and our client, reporting that this material would now be the go-to request on future jobs of this style.
