Crazy Delicious TV Backdrop
TV, theatre and film studios are always fun to work with. Whether it’s a blockbuster premier or an internet radio set, ensuring that live guests and those watching at home see your brand at its best is always a fun challenge.
One particularly enjoyable project was our work on the Crazy Delicious (Channel 4 and Netflix) production. We were briefed with the task of bringing the set to the skies with an immersive wrap-around backdrop.
As is often the case with these productions, bright lights would be in regular use on both sides of the installation and so it was important to dress the set in a fabric that would block out any activity backstage while offering the correct levels of light absorption and reflection on stage.
Efficient timings and close liaison with stakeholders are always crucial on projects like this. Once final-sign off was gathered and all stakeholders and participants had clarity on the project, we produced an 85 metre by 8-metre black-backed stretch polyester wrap which went right the way around the immersive 360-degree set, producing the sky-dwelling effect.
